♩ ♬ "Cause I live by the river..." ♪ ♫

Yesterday I spent the afternoon by the river with my friend Emma... Sometimes we just don't appreciate the beauty of our surroundings. It's easy not to pay much attention to how lovely areas we pass by everyday are.

Only recently I learned to appreciate the park opposite my house, Wimbledon Common, with its long tall trees and dense woods... Or how amazing and stupidly close to me Richmond Park is! And how much I love to go bike riding there!

This last Sunday was dedicated to the Thames and registered in these following pictures.

Willow Tree

Have you heard of Willow Tree? One of my favourite gifts when I got married was this little angel below. It's all made of stone and is so delicate and precious, I absolutely love it.

I was passing by a shop the other day and I saw an entire collection of similar sculptures, so when I got home I decided to look at it and I found the mark "Willow Tree". Thanks to Google my curiosity was taken care of and I found out the brand originated in 2000 and the sculptures are the work of artist Susan Lordi. The aim of the figures according to her is to suggest elegance, simplicity, peace and serenity. I couldn't define it better.

If you liked, check the website: Willowtree.info. I particularly like the maternity themed ones.

Coming back slowly...

Because it is still 2012 and I won't give up my new year's resolution!

A picture I took in Sudbrook, Linconshire... "powered by Instagram".
The view from the lovely barns my mother-in-law is converting to be a beautiful house. (Read all about it here: heathbarns.blogspot.co.uk)

A new post will come soon! Promise :)

The reason I haven't been around...

I promise this is not an excuse! This blog is one of my new year resolutions and I won't let it die in what, March?! No, not a chance!

The reason why I haven't been around is that I am working on a last minute project. The "too many likes" comes from the fact that I have too many passions and to conciliate them sometimes is a nightmare! Right now I am trying to shoot and complete a short film in less than 20 days!

A friend and I had this amazing idea for a competition, but of course, we weren't budgeted for it. So we're struggling to get it off the ground. The good news is that we're getting a lot of support from friends on our crowd funding page! The bad news is that, even-tough some people are helping us, it is still not enough... We have now 8 days to try to raise about 90% of our target (U$1600)...

Le Patron is a 3 minute, silent, black and white film inspired by The Artist. It is a comedy piece that tells the story of a man who has just been promoted and his struggle to deal with his new workload, as well as his solution for it!

We will shoot it over a day and we managed to get an amazing cast & crew involved that are donating their time in order to help us make this happen...

If you think you can help us, please contribute with as little as U$1! Or please, spread the word! We have hopes a lot more people will sympathise with our struggle, as well as the premise!

Ps: Below is the trailer for my first film, Another Night, shot in 2009.
